​Senior-Level IT Support Engineer

Connecting Solutions of Vermont, Inc. is seeking a creative and energetic Senior-Level IT Support Engineer who would enjoy serving Vermont’s small & medium sized business community.  We offer a wide variety of technology services and products to our diverse group of clients, and pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and support.  This, along with our experienced staff, has helped create great, long-term relationships with them.

Additional requirements:

  • Senior-level IT experience, minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and organizational skills

Experience in working with the following:

  • Windows Server 2012/2016 and Active Directory
  • Windows 7/10
  • Exchange Server 2010 and later
  • VMware & Hyper-V virtual systems
  • Network security
  • Firewall and Virtual Private Networks (SonicWALL preferred)
  • Wired and wireless networks
  • Office 365 and other Cloud services

Other skills/experience (a plus):

  • Project management skills
  • Apple experience
  • Recent Microsoft and other certifications
  • Business development skills

Job Responsibilities:
Implement, maintain and troubleshoot server/desktop/network systems in a timely manner.
Design and implement on premise and cloud-based technology solutions.
Develop specifications for servers, desktop/laptop systems, networking and other IT equipment.
Configure firewalls and set up secure remote access to client networks.
Provide on-site and remote support.
Provide detailed documentation of work, and regularly communicate with other team members regarding progress.
On-call and occasional extended hours are required to support clients with urgent issues outside of business hours.
